Located right in front of Lake Kawaguchiko, a super popular tourist destination, you can easily pray and enjoy the gorgeous view at Fuji Kawaguchiko Masjid.

Fuji Kawaguchiko Masjid has been opened since November 2020, providing a spacious space for prayer that could fit about 200 people, with separated wudhu (ablution) areas for men and women. This mosque is part of the Muslim Town Project, an initiative by Japan Halal Certification Promotion Organization (JHCPO) to provide a comfortable environment for Muslims.

With its convenient location, Muslim tourists won’t have to worry about where to pray anymore when visiting the Lake Kawaguchiko area. In fact, visitors can also enjoy halal food at its “Halal Food & Cafe”.

Lake Kawaguchiko is one of the of the Fuji Five Lakes, located right at the base of Mount Fuji, so you can definitely see a stunning view of Mount Fuji here. The view is even more breathtaking during the cherry blossom season and autumn foliage season.
The lake is also the most visited lake out of the five due to its easy access via train and bus to Tokyo.
