JONETZ by DON DON DONKI, which is a Japanese multinational discount store chain called “Don Quijote” in Japan, opened another branch “JONETZ by DON DON DONKI IOI City Mall2” at IOI City Mall Putrajaya (Malaysia) on April 2023. This marks its 4th outlet in Malaysia and is said to be the largest Don Don Donki store in the Asia-Pacific region.

As Malaysia has many Muslim citizens, the outlets in Malaysia have been handling mainly halal-certified products, a variety of halal-certified Wagyu beef platters, Muslim-friendly ready-to-eat meals, traditional sweets and more.
The JONETZ by DON DON DONKI IOI City Mall2 also has Don Don Donki’s original sushi restaurant “SEN SEN SUSHI”. It is the first by the company’s group to offer all Muslim-friendly dishes at SEN SEN SUSHI. They plan to open 11 outlets by June 2024 in Malaysia.
