Where Muslims (vegan) can eat, pray at Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea
Tokyo Disneyland is one of the most visited theme parks in Japan, attracting many Disney fans from around the world. But when speaking of Disney theme parks in Tokyo, you can’t forget about Tokyo DisneySea too.
What’s the difference? Are there halal or vegan-friendly food? How to pray, if you are a Muslim? Let’s check out all the options you have to make sure you can enjoy these 2 theme parks to the fullest.
Is Tokyo Disneyland the same with DisneySea?
Well, the answer is NO!
Although both are part of Tokyo Disney Resort (TDR), they are entirely two different theme parks.
Tokyo Disneyland (TDL) was the first Disney park to open outside of America. It has 7 areas: World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country, Toontown and Fantasyland.
Close to TDL is its larger sibling Tokyo Disney Sea (TDS), opened in 2001. This park has a maritime theme based on the legends of the sea in Disney— basically, a sea-themed Disney park.
It has 7 areas: Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast and Mysterious Island. The new addition ‘Fantasy Springs’ is due to open in 2024 (click here for more).
Based on TEA/AECOM 2020 Theme Index and Museum Index, TDS is the fourth-most visited theme park in the world and the second-most visited in Japan following TDL. While TDL is visited by a lot of families, TDS is more popular among couples and young adults.

c. EXTRA TIPS for People With Diet Restrictions
All menus at the restaurants inside both parks may change, so we highly advise you to check information about allergens at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea via its official website. You can check by restaurants or choose the allergens you want to exclude.
If you feel unsure of the foods inside the parks, you can actually bring your own food. Both parks even have certain restaurants where you can request to reheat your packed meals (click here for more).
Finding A Place To Pray
After playing around, we can’t forget to pray for Muslims. Both parks have a QUIET ROOM you can use to pray, but they may not have prayer mats and other praying equipment. We recommend you to bring along the necessary praying accessories with you!
At Tokyo Disneyland, its Quiet Room is located outside the main entrance (on the right side). Just go to the Main Street House (information center) close to the entrance and tell the staff that you want to use this room.
In Tokyo DisneySea, the Quiet Room is located outside the park in the picnic area, about a 1-min walk from the Park Entrance South.
「QUIET ROOM」について。
キャストさんに質問したところ、約1年前に出来た施設で、海外の方向けの部屋で、部屋で祈祷したり、待機したり出来る部屋として使えるそうです。
現在は使用する人がいないので使われていないと事でした。#TDR_now #TDR_info pic.twitter.com/dcDg5JdD4Q

Since both rooms are outside the parks, make sure to inform the staff at the gate and get the re-entry stamp.
If you are far away from these Quite Rooms, or you’re running out of time, we suggest searching for less crowded places to pray.
