When you mention halal ramen in Japan, Ayam-YA is one of the well-known halal ramen restaurants you cannot miss out with branches in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto. Its Kyoto branch ‘Ayam-YA Karasuma Kyoto’ has reopened for business from 12 December 2022 after completing its renovation.

Famous among Muslim tourists and Japanese people, Ayam-YA is a ramen restaurant certified halal by Malaysia Halal Corporation (MHC)* that offers authentic Japanese ramen using a chicken-based broth and its own noodles. Of course, all its restaurants do not use pork and alcohol.
Its renovated Ayam-YA Karasuma Kyoto branch is currently open for lunch only on 11:30am until 2:30pm.

Visitors can even enjoy its delicious shoyu ramen and spicy ramen (customer-favourite) at home through its online shop (available in Japanese, English, and Bahasa Indonesia). A pack consists of frozen noodles, soup, and product info with cooking instructions in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
